The fuel pressure regulator is located on the back of the intake manifold, more towards the driver's side, next to the distributer. The Only way to access it is to remove the upper aluminum intake plenum. It's kind of a pain, but it is necessary. There is a rubber vacuum hose and two bolts that attaches it to the back of the lower plenum intake. While you're in there, replace that rubber hose also. Five-O motorsports sells Bosch injectors that are far superior to the stock Delco ones that ALWAYS leak down. You're in there already, so might as well do the job right the first time. Also a good time to check your cap and rotor. Don't try to re-use the plenum gaskets. Hope this helps.
Check the pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump.
Assuming this is a 4.3L engine, the fuel pressure regulator is located under the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold must be removed to gain access to the regulator.
245 hp.
Answeron the injector rail...follow the fuel hoses from the tank to the enginedThe Regulator it under the upper intake on the injector
The 1997 Cadillac Deville fuel pressure regulator can be found on top of the engine. The fuel pressure regulator will be near the fuel injector pump.
The voltage regulator is built into the alternator.
It is attached to the bank of fuel injectors (the spider) under the upper intake manifold.
below the radiator cap in the gas tank right behind the exhaust bearings
From the factory, YES.
It's likely the fuel pressure regulator. I had a Chevy Corsica with the same problem and it was solved by replacing the regulator.
you have to take the top half of your air intake off not the whole thing and you'll see the regulator on the back of your engine beside your distributor
About $14.00 for a good 1.
