Typically there are two fuse boxes: One under the hood normally near the battery and one under the dash. The fastest and easiest way to locate and identify fuses is to consult your owner's manual - always the best place to start. After checking your fuses you may find out that it's a bad bulb that's braking the circuit. The fuse for the dash lights on a 2002 Chevy Tahoe is in the fuse box in the interior of the vehicle. There is also a fuse for this in the engine compartment on top of the battery. This fuse is for the speedometer and odometer lights.
The fuse for the rear lights for a 2002 Mercedes E320 is in the fuse box to the left of the steering column. A list on the cover tells you exactly which fuse goes to the rear lights.

If the dome lights and the radio went out at the same time on a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo, it could be a fuse. There are two fuse boxes on that vehicle. One is on the passenger side in the engine compartment and one is located in the dash on the driver's side. The fuse for the radio is in the dash fuse box.
