To open the hood on a '95 Grand Am, when the release cable is unattached, the grill must be removed. Once the grill is removed, the hood release lever may be reached with a pair of long pliers. Raise the hood and trace the cable to see where it has come undone. If it has come undone at the release?æ lever, it may be reattached. If it has broken, it will need replaced.

As a Fire Fighter who faces this problem on many cars with front end damage we normally pry the edge of the hood on the driver's side up gently, look for the black cable which runs from the hood release handle to the hood release and grab and pull. This works about 95 percent of the time. If not, try to look in through the grill in the hood release area and see if you can unbolt the whole hood release.
chances are in the glove box on the top right side. my 93 was wierd like that.
The fuse for the fog lamps on a 95 Nissan Pathfinder are located in the main fuse panel. This can be found near the hood release on the driver's side.

There are hood tools. But if it is stuck, you might have to jack her up, remove the wheel, and back fender skirt. Then the fun begins. If it is broken at the hood connection, you will have to bend a metal rod to reach, and pull.
Yes you just have to hit the latch... And it will make the first pop... Then all u have to do is release the hook... I had a '95 Pontiac grand am... I could slide my hand through the grille and release the hood...
use the key...manualy I didnt get a hood key with my 93.(re*&$%) You will have no choice but to go underneath the car and try to reach the latch. Somtimes you can see where the cable attaches. Use a screwdriver, pliers, or whatever to activate the lever. Move the lever in the same direction as the cable would and the hood should release.
Release the tension with tension pulley. Follow belt pattern printed on a sticker under the hood
