My Camry (1994) does not have an inertia switch. The way the system works is that there is a control unit that drives an electric fuel pump, at the tank, through a relay. There are two input signals to the control unit. One when the starting motor is cranking and one when the engine is running. The pump will not start until you crank the starter. When the engine starts up, the other signal takes over to keep the pump running. If the engine does not start, then the pump will run for two more seconds after you stop cranking.
In the event of an accident, where you would otherwise expect an inertia switch to operate, it is assumed that the engine will stop, thus removing the running signal from the control unit and therefore to cut off power to the pump. However not every accident will stop the engine, hence the introduction of the inertia switch.
HELLO...I ended up on that person aboves account by accidently answering a question without logging in. I tried contacting this company but they don't have a contact number.. Very strange. Now this answer above is not my answer and I know nothing about an inertia switch or fuel pumps on 93's blazers.
I ended up seeing all these strange questions and answeres I have never answered with a user ID number and when I go in here I am having answered all these questioned I have never answered. Too strange. Maybe you can correct this.
Chevrolet doesn't use the inertia switch, that's a Ford thing.
The 1995 Chevrolet Blazer ABS relay switch is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The relay switch will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The fuel pump relay is located in the fuse/relay center under the hood.
It is located on the passenger side behind the glove box. It has the relay that goes to the inertia switch (emergency fuel cut off switch).
No, GM vehicles do not have an inertia switch. It does however have a single fuel pump relay.
Don't know of a headlight relay but the headlight circuit breaker is located in and part of the headlight switch.
Relay, yes. Inertia switch, no.
The fuel pump is controlled by a relay. It does not have an inertia switch. The fuel pump is controlled by a relay. It does not have an inertia switch.
The fuel pump relay would be located in the power distribution box under the hood.
GM vehicles do not have an inertia fuel cut off switch.
According to the wiring diagram, there is no inertia switch. There is only a relay switch in a 1991 Isuzu Trooper.
There is no inertia switch on the Chevy truck it runs from the ecm , oil pressure switch and relay.
GM doesn't use inertia switches.
