According to most sources, the largest man-made forest in the world is in northern Nebraska in the USA. Nebraska is the state where arbor day originated. Arbor day is on April 22 and it is the day when you are supposed to plant a tree. The once treeless plains of Nebraska are now teeming with trees, but the largest continuous forest covers an area of over 20,000 acres.
The government of South Africa has a large man-made forest which may have overtaken the Nebraska man-made forest in size, but I have not seen any actual acreages listed in describing its size.
