i hope this helps lots of ppl looking for the same answer.
I have been looking all day and i believe its located behind the passenger side headlamp.
My blower only works flat out and not on the slow speeds, i have found a little box behind the headlamp with two ring type terminals and one "5-pin" socket which i am currently checking out but i believe this could be the blower relay unit. it certainly fits the description i was given by a mechanic of what it should look like :)
You will need to loosen the valence with the pug badge on and loosen the front bumper on the passenger side before you can remove the headlamp, after removal you will see the relay unit bolted next to the radiator by a 10mm nut. its the most stupid place to put it and its exposed to all the elements especially water coming in through the headlamp and up through the wheel arch if your guard is loose or damaged from going off road like mine is.
I'd suggest sealing the exposed terminals with silicone after repairing or replacing the unit to prevent the weather corroding the unit. mine has scorched the bodywork where its caught fire a bit when it was shorted out. Not good for a 2005 van!""!
Good luck. Steve H.

For the 1989 Dodge Ram, the heater blower motor resistor can be found on the passenger's side, on the bottom of the heater box. It is beside the blower motor.
The A/C - Heater blower motor will be located on the passengers side behind the glovebox and you will have to loosen the dash on that side and pry it up very carefully.......
