Everything points to Hawaii. It's a place i'd want to vacation but not live. California could be a close second, but very expensive.

I've lived in Hawaii and California; either place would qualify as a moderate climate, but Hawaii has no notable seasons. Both places are expensive to live; HI. often being the highest US State for COL! Inflationary economics coupled with real estate profiteers, and Hawaii's land went from zero dollars per square foot to many thousands of dollars PSF in my lifetime! No other piece of Earth has inflated in this way, and so, its an economic anomaly! If you can afford it, that's the place to be! Everything gets shipped there and so the cost of everything is higher (yes, even sugar)! It depends upon what you want to be around; if it is just temperature variation, then any Southern Range US location would do! Watch weather maps during the dead of winter and of summer! If island living is in your blood but cannot afford Hawaii, and you can speak a little Spanish, consider Puerto Rico (learn more at Wikipedia).
