I have a 1994 Rodeo, 4WD,5spd,V6 3.2 I just changed my oil in July, 2007. The oil pan is directly UNDER the engine! Good luck!
It is on the oil pan towards the back.
It is on the oil pan towards the back at the bottom ( the lowest point of the oil pan)
Directly Below the engine. It's North of the Transmission pan. The Tranny pan has an elevated area on the right side.
Same as any other car its located under the car attached to the engine
the gasket is probably glued to the block and oil pan. Use a gasket scraper and tap it with a hammer between the block and the oil pan. be very careful not too damage the oil pan.
drain the oil, drop the pan, remove old gasket, put new gasket in, reinstall pan, fill with oil......simplest job in the world......
The knocking noise on a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo could be bad connecting rods. Listen to the knocking, if it get progressively worst at high speeds than the rods may be bad. To be sure check the oil pan for any shards of steel.
No dip stick, two plugs on trans oil pan, use hand pump oil can and hose to pump into the upper plug hole till over flows.
At the bottom of the engine oil pan.
Oil drain plug is in the pan You probably have to remove a shield that hides the plug to access it 7/8's wrench to remove plug 14mm socket to remove skid plates
Place a catch pan under the vehicle directly under the oil pan and remove the oil drain plug, while it is draining remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one making sure to lube the gasket with oil and hand tighten only. then replace and tighten the drain plug and begin adding oil checking the dipstick often until you are at the proper level. Start the vehicle and check for leaks, shut it off and recheck the oil level. done
AnswerOn my 1992 Rodeo with a V/6, I removed the starter first; removed pan bolts ; and took steering linkage loose. Then my pan came right straight down.If its a 4 wheel drive, you have to at least lower the front axle to gain access to the front pan bolts, or pull the engine. The front axle has 4 bolts holding it to the frame if I remember correctly.
