The oil filter and drain plug on a 2004 Toyota Corolla is located on the bottom of the engine. The drain plug is on the side of the oil pan while the oil filter is located to the left of it.
Well if it like my 2004 the oil filter and drain plug should be right up front near the front bumper. First find the oil drain plug. and unscrew that and let the oil drain. Then screw back in the drain plug. Then remove the oil filter and replace that. Fill it back up. By far this car is the easiest for oil changes since everything is located up towards the front. And by doing it yourself you will save about 75 bucks
The bottom part of the engine is the oil pan. There will be a drain plug on it, remove drain plug and oil will come out; properly dispose of oil.

You need to drain the plug until it loosens then remove the upper gearbox fill plug. This procedure will prevent you from refilling before draining the oil.
