under the bonnet

Big help,cheers muppet.If it is,that'll be news.

The b***ds have put it behind the engine, between it and the bulkhead. In the six years we've had ours I have not seen it so it's the only place left. Not possessing a four poster lift I'm sc***wed.Nice one Vauxhall.

Anyone have any worthwhile contribution to make?Yes it is at the front just beside the exhaust manifold you cannot see it from the top as there is a gaurd covering it. This is where it is on my Mervia 1.8 enjoy. I just changed my oil and had the same problem finding it,i thought it was in the oill sump at first,as it is hard to find.

On 1.7 cdti it is just where I suspected the back between the engine and the bulkhead.A real life pig to get on.The location is so bad you cannot physically see what you're doing as you do it,so assemble and lubricate everything carefully first, but for anyone saving a few bob it's not beyond the means of man,not completely, just tread slowly!
