The oil filter on the 2007 Pontiac G5 is located under the plastic Eccotec top engine shroud, this is removed first by removing the oil add cap, then pull up on the corners of the cover, after it is removed location of the oil filter can be spotted by locating the engine dip stick and then looking towards the engine block there you will see a black cover cap approximately 3 inches in diameter with a hex head mount for loosening the cap for complete removal. The filter is attached the the cap as it is removed, pull off the old filter replace with new and reinstall.
