There is a tapped hole on the rear rail near the distributor hole.
Sticking valve?
The two locations it could be are 1. Top rear of engine next to distributor 2. Bottom drivers side of engine above the oil filter. The second option is more likely as it was moved to this location on most vehicles in the early to mid 80s.
There are a couple ways to tell short of tearing a head off the engine and measureing a cylinder. From the factory in the 80s a 305 timing pointer was at the 12 oclock om the balancer and a 350 was at about 2 oclock. Also on the back of the engine where the trans bolts to on the driver side behind the head the 80s engines would be cast in 5.oL for the 305 and 5.7L for a 350.These arent always sure fire ways but alot of times its worked for me the only definite way to tell is pull off a head and measure the bore the 350 is a 4inch bore

Early 80's?? None...the only other 350 engines used then were in some of the trucks.
Both of those are correct spellings. Formally, it is 1980s but many people spell it as 80s because it is shorter and faster to write. We usually say 80s when we are talking about the previous 80s. For example, when it is 2190, we will call the 2180s the 80s and in the year 1490, they also called the 1480s the 80s. I hope this helps you.
