The oxygen sensor is located at the exhaust manifold ,behind engine, close to firewall. The oxygen sensor has no effect on vehicle until it has reached operating temperature or closed loop status in computer. If unplugged or defective computer will substitute a fixed voltage value and car will still run.It will set a check engine light
