Open the front hood (bonnet) Locate the air filter, locate the air inlet tube attached to it. Use a screwdriver to loose the bracket, remove the whole air inlet tube with the air filter, in order to gain access to the gearbox. Now you can see the sensor, unplug the connector from the sensor, check the contacts, make a short circuit between the two terminals of the wires, and verify if the reversing lights get lit. (Remember to turn the start key first) In case the lights go on, the sensor has a problem and must be replaced. The switch is mounted on the top of the gearbox and can be seen underneath air inlet tube. At least I think that is it as the reverse lights went out when I unplugged it!
Yes, it has one.
The motor is above the switch and interior light.
probably the brake light switch on the pedal if none are working at all
Dashboard warnings on your Peugeot 206 depend on the car's problem. It could be an indicator light for ABS, airbag, engine light or something else.
Short in the wiring, and it is probably the door light switch.
A similar car to the Peugeot 206 is the Peugeot 205 which the Peugeot 206 is modeled after with minor modifications and upgrades from the Peugeot 205 to the Peugeot 206.
On the passenger side, to the left of the glove box
I haven't worked on your make and model of vehicle so this answer will be generic in nature since the basics are similar for all vehicles. Your problem with the "Reversing" light [Backup light in US English] switch is one of two things: * The switch is not properly adjusted, or * the contact points inside the switch are stuck in the closed [ON] position. This could be the result of a failed return spring or that the contact points have become stuck [welded] together. The fact that the lights are on indicates that the circuit is working. The "fix" for this issue is to make sure the switch position is properly adjusted, and if the problem continues, then replace the switch.
If the windscreen wiper is electric or controlled by a switch, it has a fuse. The wiper fuse on a Peugeot 206 is located in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
it is due for a service.
Could be switch on gearbox, wiring or bulb.
yes. if its electrical and controlled by a switch then it has a fuse
