Where is the speedometer cable on a 4 cylinder 1990 Nissan Sentra with auto trans and how do you replace it?

The speedo unscrews at the driver side axle, passes through the fire wall and is held to the dash by a rubber grommet. 5 screws takes out the insrument cluster bezel,then disconnect the wires on each side be4fore separating . Then 4 screws takes out the instrument cluster and there is the speedo. It simply lays inti the cluster when reinstalled, no clamps. Very simple. Installation is the reverse.

On the 1993 Sentra the speedometer sensor is located on the top of the transmission on the drivers side near the firewall. I have the same problem and would like to replace the sensor but cannot seem to get it out. Do you know how to remove? acpbcc@aol.com Art Plymouth, MA
