On intake manifold or engine block.
Depends on manufacturer, but I would say that it stands for temp sensor instrument cluster. some cars have one temp sensor for the computer and another for the instrument cluster
Never heard of a battery temperature sensor being installed in any normal vehicle. Some race cars yes, but not in a daily driver such as your Avenger.
No, it's a switch that has to be replaced (common part on a lot of cars). Some cars have more than one so you must specify which sensor you need at the parts supply place.

The engine coolant temperature sensor is probably at fault.
The fuel temperature sensor is located inside of the tank in the Subaru Impreza. This is the case for the cars that were made in the 1990's, at least.
the map's purpose in a speed density type air/fuel management system (no mass airflow sensor) is to read intake manifold vacuum/pressure and help adjust fuel amount accordingly, along with inputs from other devices such as the throttle position sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor, and intake air temperature sensor.
where is the temperature sensor 1993 BMW 318i
A coolant system temperature sensor controls it. : CHILTON calls it the cylinder head temperature sensor. Some after market manufacturers call it the coolant temperature sensor. These are equivalent.
Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 ford focus?" Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 ford focus Where is the coolant temperature sensor on a 2002 ford focus
engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty. engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty. engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty. engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty. engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty.
I can't tell you exactly, but generally the IAT sensor is located on or near the air filter box. On some newer cars it's actually incorperated into the mass air flow sensor.
