Remove the air cleaner and the air supply from the top of the throttle body. Have someone step inside the vehicle and slowly press and release the throttle while the engine is off. Watch to see what moves. The throttle butterfly is operated by the cable from the accelerator pedal. Notice that the cable goes over a sprocket that moves the throttle. On the OPPOSITE side of the throttle body should be a black plastic thingy with wires connected. THAT's the throttle body.
The spark plugs are under the throttle body on my 1997 Catera, assume they are in the same place on your 2000. Just unplug the hoses and electrical wire clip/connections, unbolt the throttle body and you will be able to access the plugs.
It is part of the throttle body itself. It is part of the throttle body itself.
