Unlike newer softails where the transmission drain plug is located between the two softail shocks underneath the tranny, the older EVO softail transmission (1993 FXSTS) drain plug is located on the right side of the transmission. Look below the chrome transmission cover and you will see a small #30 torx drain plug centered in between two allen mounting bolts. It drains out to the side not the bottom. You will likely have to remove the exhaust pipes, or at least the rear pipe top get easy access.
