Where is the transmission in a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire?

[Edit]

Answer

under the hood, and the end of the engine without a belt

Answer

Actually your vehicle does not have a transmission. It has what they call a "Transaxle". Most front wheel drive cars have this when a front differential is not present. If "under your hood" didn't help you and you still can't find it out, jack up the front of the vehicle (chocks behind the rear wheels of course!)and while it's running simply apply the brake and put it in drive. The wheel that spins of it's own volition is the tire that is connected to the "transmission". Also you can follow the dipstick down the the transaxle itself, but that would be too easy.
