You have a 2000 ford windstar with a heater sensor malfunction po161 how do you replace the fuse for it.?

There is no fuse. It means there is a problem in the catalyst moniter heater circuit bank #2, sensor #2. here is a brief description of why this code was set: During testing the HO2S Heaters are checked for opens/shorts and excessive current draw. The test fails when current draw exceeds a calibrated limit and/or an open or short is detected. Possible causes: Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S. Water in harness connector. Open VPWR circuit. Open GND circuit. Low battery voltage. Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring Damaged HO2S heater. Damaged PCM wiring. Damaged HO2S heater. Damaged PCM.

What is DTC P1432 2002 ford ranger?

P1432 - Thermostat Heater Control (THTRC) Circuit Failure The Comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the THTRC circuit to the PCM for high and low voltage. If during testing; voltage was to fall below a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time the test will fail and set the DTC and MIL. Open or shorted THTRC circuit Open VPWR Open or shorted thermostat assembly Damaged PCM DTC P1432 is a THTRC circuit check. Testing should include wire harness, thermostat heater and PCM.

1997 Ford Taurus OBD code po443?

P0443 EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid or VMV Circuit Malfunction Possible Causes Setting Conditions * EVAP Purge valve VPWR circuit open * EVAP Purge control circuit open, shorted to ground or to power * EVAP canister purge valve is damaged EVAP * PCM has failed Engine started, engine running, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Purge or VMV solenoid circuit when the device was cycled "on" and "off" during the CCM test. This code sets in 2 Trip(s). It looks llike 9 times out of 10, our diagnostic support network shows that the PCM replacement has fixed it.

What causes engine code P1151 in a 2002 Ford Taurus?

Technical DescriptionLack of HO2S-21 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean What does that mean?A Heated Exhaust Oxygen (HO2S) sensor indicating lean at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when the fuel control system no longer detects switching for a calibrated amount of time. SymptomsYou will likely not notice any drivability problems. Why would a 98 ford contour have the fail codes p1121 manufacturer code p1151 manufacturer code p0171 system too lean bank 1 p0174 system too lean bank 2?

P1121 - Throttle Position (TP) Sensor : Inconsistent with MAF Possible causes: 1)Damaged MAF sensor 2)TP sensor not seated properly 3)Damaged TP sensor 4) Air leak between MAF sensor and throttle body Try checking connections to the MAF and TPS sensor. Also remove MAF sensor (you may need security torx bit) and inside you will see 2 wires - VERY gently clean them with a q-tip (BE GENTLE) dipped in electrical cleaner (you will see tons of gunk and black soot come off) and reinstall. P1151 - Lack of HO2S indicates Lean -21 Switch, HEGO Sensor (really fancy name for the Oxygen sensor - of which there are 2) Possible Causes: Electrical * Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S * Water in harness connector * Open/Shorted HO2S circuit * Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring * Damaged HO2S * Damaged PCM Fuel System: * Excessive fuel pressure * Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors * Leaking fuel pressure regulator * Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel * Vapor recovery system Induction System: * Air leaks after the MAF * Vacuum Leaks * PCV system Improperly seated engine oil dipstick EGR System: * Leaking gasket * Stuck EGR valve * Leaking diaphragm or EVR Base Engine: * Oil overfill * Cam timing * Cylinder compression * Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s) P071 and P074 - o2 sensors. You most likely have a combination of needing your 02 sensors replaced and needing MAF sensor cleaned/replaced. Also possible vaccum leak.

How do you fix code p1451 on a ford cargo van?

Technical DescriptionEVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction What does that mean? The EVAP system monitors the canister vent (CV) solenoid circuit for an electrical failure. The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum allowable calibrated parameters for a specified canister vent duty cycle by PCM command. SymptomsYou will likely not notice any drivability problems. CausesA code P1451 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: VPWR circuit openDamaged canister vent solenoidCanister vent solenoid circuit open or shorted to ground, power, etc.Damaged Powertrain Control Module (PCM)Possible SolutionsVerify canister vent solenoid - To verify normal functioning, monitor the EVAP canister vent solenoid signal PID EVAPCV and the signal voltage (PCM control side). With the valve open, EVAPCV indicates 0% duty cycle and a voltage approximately equal to battery voltage. When the valve is commanded fully closed, EVAPCV indicates 100% duty cycle, and a minimum voltage drop of 4 volts is normal. Output test mode may be used to switch output on/off to verify function.Replace canister vent solenoid

Why is 01 Ford ranger 2.3 boiling over within 5 minutes of driving it. The engine light is on and the code showing is P1432-thermostat heater control. the hot coolant smell is strong. can anyone help?

P1432 - Thermostat Heater Control (THTRC) Circuit Failure The Comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the THTRC circuit to the PCM for high and low voltage. If during testing; voltage was to fall below a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time the test will fail and set the DTC and MIL. Open or shorted THTRC circuit Open VPWR Open or shorted thermostat assembly Damaged PCM DTC P1432 is a THTRC circuit check. Testing should include wire harness, thermostat heater and PCM. I know this description is a little complicated. You MAY have a blockage in the cooling sytem somewhere. To start, pull and check your thermostat (front of engine) If you replace it make sure you replace it with one that is the correct OEM temperature (like around 190 degrees). A lower temp stat will not help, it will hurt! Get the engine to cool, don't worry so much about the CEL(they call it the MIL). Something like Malfunction Illumination Light. DTC is the Diagnostic Trouble Code. The PCM is the Power Control Module (main computer). Also make sure the water pump works correctly and the radiator has no blockages.
