Green Lantern has nothing whatsoever to do with Peanuts. I can"t think of a greater contrast! Arguably the closest of the old-school superhero detectives ( which surely Charlie Brown is not) would be The Shadow, who has mental powers such as mind-reading, projecting his voice, invisibility- usually a sort of projected aura . His real name in the story was Lamont Cranston. Sometimes the Shadow would arrive ont he crime scene too late to save the victims- but would then go into the detective mode. There are probably closer ties with the Shadow and Green Lantern- M.O. wise than, say Superman or Flash.
