Be extremely careful. If you don't know what you are doing then just take it to a repair shop, it's not expensive for them to check it out. They will also clean out all the lint that will fill up the area too. If the drum rotates and every thing is other wise working, check to make sure there is power to the element. Use a 220v tester. you may even find that the element wire is busted in an area too.
