Do you have a US birth certificate? Where were you born?
No. A birth certificate is issued after you are born, usually in the city and state where the birth took place. Barack Obama's birth was recorded in Honolulu, Hawaii, for example. A certificate of naturalization is provided when a person who is an immigrant decides to become a citizen, passes the tests and takes the oath. My maternal grandfather was born and raised in Lithuania, for example; but when he emigrated and moved to America, he decided he wanted to be a U.S. citizen, and he was issued a certificate of naturalization. A naturalized citizen of the United States is one who has become a citizen, after being born in another country. A "natural born citizen," on the other hand, is one who was born in the United States and did not come here from another country.
the parent should be on the birth certificate so long as they are the biological parent. Doesn't matter if they are a US citizen or not.
The American parent should apply for a "certificate of birth abroad" for the child at the nearest US mission. The certificate acts as a certificate of US citizenship.
It can be used as an ID and to prove where you are born and in most cases to prove that you are Citizen of a specific country.
If either parent was a citizen of Ireland at the time of the birth, the newborn would automatically be a citizen of Ireland as well.
the only way to get an Australian passport is to be born in Australia or to be a naturalised australin citizen. you must have an original copy of your birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
You can get a copy of your birth certificate from the registar of those records in the country where you were born. Depending on the country, you MAY be able to order one (and pay for it, they are not free) on the internet. My wife is a British subject, and when we needed a copy of her birth certificate, we were able to get one from the UK.
only if you were born in the united states with a U.S. birth certificate
Obviously hes not ony a citizen but he was born in the USA and has a USA birth certificate. Otherwise, he would be unable to run for president.
If you were born in Canada, how did you get a US birth certificate in the first place???
If such a birth certificate existed, he would not be eligible to be President, however, he was not born in Kenya, but instead in Hawaii, so the question is moot.
