You can contact the manufacturer. If its a window unit that the plug is missing there are terminals inside where the cord used to be. Black is hot, white is neutral and green is ground. Check the nameplate on the unit to make sure of the voltage and current draw (amps).

Where can I find an electrical wiring diagram for a house built in the 1920's I want to install a ceiling fan?

I don't think that you will find any diagram of that nature. Most electric wiring is field cut and doesn't have wiring diagrams unless it is a factor home, prefabricated home or a mobile home. I don't think that any of these types of houses were built in the 1920's. The good news is that any trained electrician should be able to complete this task without a diagram.

Investigating Electrical Issues in the Home?

The most common cause of a home catching on fire is electrical issues. Faulty wiring, frayed wires, and improper electric routing are all issues that can arise in a home. This is especially true if you live in an older home that was built before the 1970's. If you have experienced flickering lights, observed open or frayed wiring, or experienced other electrical issues, it is imperative that you talk to an electrical contractor in your area right away. Electrical contractors can thoroughly investigate the wiring of your home and ensure that there are no safety violations or fire hazards apparent.
