Solomon was born in Jerusalem:-
1Ch 14:3 And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.
1Ch 14:4 Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
He was born in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is where David took Bathsheba to be his wife. Their first child died because of David's sin, and after that child had died, David and Bathsheba conceived Solomon.
King Solomon was from the Royal Line of David, meaning David and Goliath, after David killed Goliath, the people of Israel made him king. David was a great king and followed THE LORD ALMIGHTY completeley, exept for the sin he did with Bathsheba's husband, Uriah the Hittie. No other king followed THE LORD ALMIGHTY more than David. King Solomon was born from King David & Bathsheba, his new wife. King David was born from Jesse, whos father was Obed. All from Israel, after THE LORD ALMIGHTY led the family of Jacob (also called Israel) , out of Egypt, with Moses. Hope this is helpful.
1Ki 2:1-3 KJV Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying, (v.2) I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, andshew thyself a man; (v.3) And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
1Ki 2:2-4 BBE I am going the way of all the earth: so be strong and be a man; (v.3) And keep the orders of the Lord your God, walking in his ways, keeping his laws and his orders and his rules and his words, as they are recorded in the law of Moses; so that you may do well in all you do and wherever you go, (v.4) So that the Lord may give effect to what he said of me, If your children give attention to their ways, living uprightly before me with all their heart and their soul, you will never be without a man to be king in Israel.
The implication is that he was not old enough, perhaps still a teenager. Albert Barnes says:-
"... Solomon's youth clearly constituted one of the chief difficulties of his position. If he was about nineteen or twenty, and known to be of a pacific disposition (see 1Ch_22:9), then to have to rule over the warlike and turbulent Hebrew nation, with a strong party opposed to him, and brothers of full age ready to lead it, was evidently a most difficult task. Hence, he is exhorted, though in years a boy, to show himself in Spirit "a man."
(From Albert Barnes on 1Kings 2:2 in his Commentary "Notes on the Bible")
Therefore if he was 20 that would make him born in 990BC.
