Is Jackie Chan's last jump in Armour of God onto the parachute real?

Jackie did not jump onto a parachute in Armour of God. He jumped from the cliff onto the top of a hot air balloon. As it is impossible to get a hot air balloon safely next to a cliff because of the height as well as air currents the scene was filmed in two parts. The first part Jackie jumps off the cliff. He did not parachute off the cliff but was on a wire.In the second part Jackie jumped out of a light aircraft and free falled onto the hot air balloon. Some of the close up scenes of Jackie on the hot air balloon were shot on the ground and you can see some trees in some of the shots that should not be there. What made the stunt truly amazing was that Jackie filmed it straight after returning to the set after the near fatal accident he had while filming. His triumphant gesture on completing the stunt in the outtakes is particularly heartfelt.

What kind of guns were the cliff guns in the movie The Guns of Navarone?

The Guns of Navarone, both the novel by Alastair MacLean and the movie based upon it, were works of fiction. There are a number of inaccuracies in the movie, including many of the weapons used; some were intentional. The cliff guns in the movie were overly large, mocked up props. They were non-operational, built in a sound stage, and were designed to appear huge and menacing to push the plot of the movie, and further vilify the German troops who operated them.MacLean likely, although not confirmed, based his story on the Greek island of Leros, the sight of intense fighting between Allied and Axis forces during WW2. While there were costal guns installed on Leros, none were remotely close to the size of the props used in the movie.See the images in the related links below for comparison.
