In the Army, you don't enlist directly into EOD, unless something's changed since I was in. You had to fulfill your initial enlistment, then you'd be eligible to try out for EOD through the BEAR programme.

Enlist for EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal). See your recruiter. - Actually, I'm pretty sure you would have to reenlist under the BEAR program for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. Don't think you can enlist into EOD as a first term enlistee, unless something's changed since I inquired about it.

If you are going into the US Army Special Forces is it possible to take sniper school and EOD school and serve as a double helper if you will to your assigned squad?

In Special Forces, you're cross trained in a number of different fields. However, the only way to go through the Army EOD course is to reenlist under the BEAR programme, and then serve in an EOD unit upon completion of training.
