The question that they can ask is "What position did you hold at your previous employer".... It is one of the main questions on a application. You could say only that you worked for say Wells Fargo bank....But that would give them thousands of jobs that you could have done for the company, they have tellers, loan officers etc..... Also they have the right to contact them and find out, unless you mark no.
