Which President wanted to make Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of the month?

Answer

Abraham Lincoln established the last Thursday of November as the American Thanksgiving holiday. In most parts of the world, Thanksgiving is celebrated in October, to mark the end of the harvests. Lincoln was swayed in his decision by a woman who wanted to mark the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock in November of 1620.
