Many Mainly the Evangelical, Protestant, Baptist and Presbyterian churches (and the ones derived from them). That is because baptism is supposed to be an act of repentance of our sins. How can a child repent from its sins if he/she is not a sinner until the knowledge of it? It is known that children are not judged if they die in early age before understanding of sin. So, there is no need for repenting.

Answer2: In view of the fact that 'hearing the word,' 'embracing the word heartily,' and 'repenting' precede water baptism (Ac 2:14, 22, 38, 41) and that baptism requires the individual to make a solemn decision, it is apparent that one must at least be of age to hear, to believe, and to make this decision. Associated with baptism were such things as hearing, believing, and glorifying God, things infants cannot do. At Samaria when they heard and believed "the good news of the kingdom of God and of the name of Jesus Christ, they proceeded to be baptized." Here the Scriptural record specifies that the ones baptized were, not infants, but "men and women."-Ac 8:12.

Why did Jews get baptised?

Jews do not get baptized. Baptism is part of Christianity.

I have a baptism certificate but dont know where I was baptised?

This depends on which church you were baptised into. The churches of the Anglican Communion, The Roman Catholic Church, and the Orthodox churches all keep baptismal records. Alternatively, your certificate should note your Godparents- they would know where you were baptised since they were present. Your parents will have also been present. If you know the geographical location generally of your baptism (in a certain town or city, for example) you should contact the pastor or priest of the relevant denomination of your baptism. Baptisms in some churches are seen as valid in others, other churches may require you to be 'rebaptised'. Since Baptism is full and effective, you cannot be baptised more than once. See http://www.cofe.anglican.org/lifeevents/baptismconfirm/sectiona.html for more information.
