if starting in San Frasciso area take Rt 80, if farther south you may have to take 70. If on 70, when you hit Denver take 76 northeast and pick up 80 around the corner of Colorado and Nebrask, then take 80 east and you'll end up just south of Chicago (Lake Michigan) and can continue onto Cleveland (Lake Erie) and then go up to Rt 90/Buffalo NY and continue onto Lake Ontario just after Niagara falls (which the only way to see is by taken one of the helicopter tours).

In "Himalayan mountains", the word "mountains" is not capitalized. It would be like saying "American mountains". It is NOT the same as saying the "Rocky Mountains", as "Rocky" is not a geographical area (and thus "mountains" should be capitalized). The Himalayas are.
