Sony makes great stuff, but Nikon primarily builds cameras. I'd go with the company known for cameras: Nikon. Agree that Nikon beats Sony. You might want to also look into Canon, as they are often rated higher than Nikon. It just depends on your needs, I guess. We just got a Nikon digital SLR and we LOVE it!! It has taken the best pictures ever. We were debating between the Canon and the Nikon and have been really pleased with the Nikon D90 so far.
There is a difference between the Nikon camera and the Sony camera. The Nikon camera has more features and it is also wireless. The Sony camera is digital.
It all depends what you are planning on shooting. Nikon is better in some areas and Sony is better in others. The lens that you use is also highly important. It does not do much to have an expensive camera with a cheap piece of glass. Great place to get unbiased opinions is: http://www.dpreview.com/
comparing them like compare nikon and canon in slr world
Sony does not sell Nikon camera lenses, you can different websites like Amazon, Ebay or the official Nikon website. The price will vary depending on the type of lens you are looking for.
Nikon, Kodak, sony
Sony HRD-XR500V will be the best one you will get it in cheap
Nikon cameras take better pictures.
Nikon D60 better dynamic range in the recorded images, plus newer processer.
Nikon is a respected electronics brand. Other respected brands with similar inventories are Canon and Sony. There are several products available under the Nikon brand.
Nikon Coolpix L310 is better than L610.
Both are excellent cameras. The Sony is a continuation of the Minolta camera legacy, and all Minolta DSLR lenses (and some film lenses) will fit most Sonys. Nikon has probably the broadest range of available accessories; one major online vendor carries over 200 different Nikon lenses. If you plan to get into photography in a big way, Nikon is probably the best bet. Otherwise, either will do a good job for you. The writer is unbiased, as he uses Pentax cameras.
