Which is faster a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora or a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP? |
Answer
Off the line the grand prix is faster it has more torque at lower rpms it is faster though the 1/4 mile to it weight about 300 pounds less than the aurora. The oldsmobile aurora 4.0 DOHC 32 valve baby northstar with 250hp and 260 pound feet of torque it weight in at 3967 pounds. The grand prix GTP uses a 3800 series 2 supercharged engine that makes 240hp and 300 pound feet of torque. With more torque at lower rpms makes the grand prix faster than the aurora. Top speed the aurora may be faster....
Yes because the gtp will have a speed limiter I've had my aurora to 220 and it never kicked on if it does infact have one...my dads LSS supercharged smokes my moms V8 DOHC aurora
What?! you've had your aurora to 220? 220 what mph km/h huh? LSS what?
Raced a early 2000's SS Monte Carlo with a custom exhaust. Was in a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora stock with 140k miles. He got the jump and we still pulled on him till we were about 10 car lengths ahead when he finally gave up.
