The polar bear is said to be the most dangerous bear on the planet. Both the polar bear and the grizzley are dangerous to humans if provoked, however, grizzlies tend to be less aggressive to people unless actually confronted. Not so the polar bear. They rule their domain and will readily attack anything, including humans, that invade their territory.

So, to answer your question, if you are going to Alaska the polar bear may be the real problem for you. If you are going to the mountain states the grizzley is the most dangerous.

By the way...yes, grizzlies do live in Alaska as well.

Ok this is coming from someone that lives in alaska: The grizzly bear and the brown bear are the same thing (just so you know) and it's the grizzly bear that is the most dangerous

It has been said that if you are attacked by a black bear, fight back; if you are attacked by a grizzly (brown) bear, play dead; and if you are attacked by a polar bear, pray.

While there is no doubt the grizzly/brown bear is a larger, more powerful animal, studies show the black bear attacks humans more than the grizzly, and will feed on humans more often than the grizzly.

Are grizzly bears the most dangerous bear?

The answer is based on perception. While one person may fear black bears the most, another may fear grizzly or polar bears. It depends on where you live and what species of bear you are exposed to and what your background and experience are. I live in an area that has both black and grizzly bears and although I do not fear them, I definetly respect them. There is a difference between fear and respect.

Grizzly bear vs lion?

lion is really powerfull and really fast but grizzly bear maybe be mor powerful than lion.but lion can fight with even with a big grizzly bear but it is too dangerous for both and im think after few minutes both are tierd and stop fight and both can be winner in different times.but important thing is that both are too powerfull and beautifull and there is no promblem if the lion be loser or winner or bear be winner or loser, both can be winner but a polar bear can be winner in fight between grizzly bear or lion and i dont think lion or grizzly bear can be winner but no matter.all of them are wonderfull and beautiful and this is impotrant thing.

What animals are not related to Polar Bears?

The Brown Bear is the animal most closely related to the Polar Bear. Considering DNA and fossil evidence the Polar Bear diverged from the Brown Bear thousands of years ago. The Grizzly is more distantly related, but they do have some connection to the Polar bear. That leaves most all other animals not related to the Polar Bear.
