no nation captured Britain in WWII, although the Germans did bomb it. France was captured by Germany. When it comes to WWII, general rule is if its in Europe, it was captured by the Germans, and if its in the pacific(filipines, for example) it was captured by Japanese. Italy captured next to nothing.
I do not know of any example of this, but that ain't saying much..... German armour was perceived to be better than the British counterpart, I say perceived, but, for example in North Africa, the German advances tended to be quick in the extreme. Allied attacks throughout the war, in the west at least, tended to be much more measured. The Germans certainly used captured US equipment in the Battle of the Bulge, but then they were dressed as Americans ! Whether the Russians ever captured a Tiger or Panther I do not know.
Combat and non-combat. Some countries preferred to participate but only with non-combat personnel. Japan, for example, did not violate its constitution by sending soldiers but sent non-combat units.
If this question is in regards to today's 21st century military personnel, recent information indicates military personnel...DON"T use conventional paper anymore...they USE COMPUTERS (and TEXTING on their cell phones). Or lap-tops.
Primo Levi was an Italian jew captured in December of 1943. In his book "Se questo e' un uomo" he says his "name" tattooed on him was 174 517.
