I'm afraid in today's culture you are searching for the equivalent to a safe hand grenade... it does not exist That being said... one you do not inhale would be better for you. A cigarillo (small ring gauge cigar) will satisfy the "habit" part of it with a lower nicotine intake. Cigars , as I have stated are NOT a safe alternative and require more knowledge maintenance and money.

∙ 12y agofirst of all i want to say that all all cigarette are really harmful bcoz of nicotine content and tobacco.if u r ready to buy e-cig,then u can have a change.bcoz the ecig contains only 4 chemicals when comparing to other cig it contains more than 3000 chemicals...
and cig like lights can be good like least effective cig like esse menthol,marlboro lights.and if u think and if u want really quit smoking then go for e-cig.

∙ 13y agoThere is no such thing as safe cigarette and the only way to avoid the harmful carcinogens is to quit smoking.
If you review packs of cigarettes, [in most countries] provide amounts of toxic emissions and those with the lowest listing would technically have lower amounts of harmful chemicals. However, the testing for the cigarettes is done with machines and human studies have found that smokers adjust the amount they inhale to get the nicotine they require. This makes a light cigarette just as harmful as a regular cigarette, and in some cases worse.

∙ 10y agoIn theory, the electronic cigarettes should be less harmful. You are not burning anything and creating carcinogens that way. There would be no soot. However, a study of the solutions used in the e-cigarettes showed that some did include some of the dangerous chemicals found in regular cigarettes. So in theory, they could make them safer than traditional cigarettes, but they sometimes try to capture the same taste as with ordinary cigarettes.
Then the e-cigarettes add a couple risks of their own. For some, the mouthpiece may be a modified battery. Now what do you think could happen if something went wrong with the battery? Sometimes batteries explode, and if one explodes in your mouth, you could loose some teeth. Fire is another possible hazard. While one advantage of e-cigarettes are that they don't use open flames, a rare hazard is that the electronics could catch on fire.
So while electronic cigarettes should be safer in theory than other cigarettes, that is not always the case. To duplicate the same taste of a regular cigarette, some of the harmful chemicals would have to be artificially added. Plus the fact that it uses batteries creates additional risks.
