if you are installing a radio i would strongly suggest going to Walmart and spending 6 dollars on a wiring harness. Make sure it is the one for your year, make and model of vehicle and also buy an installation kit. you will save yourself alot of time and frustration this way and when you are done, you will have a professional install. the wiring is easy this way as all you do is match up the wires
The speakers dont really care which way they are hooked up but it is better that they all be the same. You will notice that the two wires have different sized connectors and all speakers now have the same setup one big and one smaller. If these have been removed then you will also notice that one wire usually has a black stripe in it, make all the speakers have the striped wire to the same terminal. Generally in normal applications you can connect them any way you want to and you will notice no difference.
You can get a diagram for your 2000 Dodge Caravan rear door hatch handle and most Dodge dealerships. Your local library will have Dodge service manuals with the diagram.
