Wranglers are better. They fit better, have more more belt loops, and have rivets on all pockets (front and back).
They don't all have seven loops. I have jeans and slacks with 5 loops and also 7 loops. I also have slacks with no belt loops. However, I prefer pants with 7 belt loops because they stay up better, especially if you have anything heavy in your pockets or on your belt.
Carpenters generally keep their tools in, and hanging from, their pants. Carpenter pants or carpenter jeans have many pockets and loops to put things in or hang things from.
Belt Loops.
jeans usually come with 5 pockets; two in the back, two main ones in the front and a small inner pocket in the left front pocket.
Smaller back pockets on womens' jeans are considered more flattering than larger pockets. anonymous@oola.com

Jeans without pockets became popular in the fifties in the United States and was introduced to the prison system to prevent inmates stealing from others.
