- stern section sits on the ocean floor at 41o43'35" N, 49o56'54" W,
- boilers at 41o43'32" N, 49o56'49" W,
- bow at 41o43'57" N, 49o56'49" W.
This location is 13.5 miles from the location of her last distress call.
It sank in the Atlantic ocean on April 14-15th 1912, killing aroung 1,500 people.
The Titanic set sail from Southampton England, picked up a few passengers in a couple other countries, (mainly Ireland) and began full speed towards New York. Despite being warned several times of ice in their path, they maintained speed and course but unfortunately struck an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
