Iron is a metal which combines readily with oxygen in moist air to form ferrous oxide (also known as rust) and will react with many other elements. It can be easily dissolved with a variety of acids, and can also react with steam or water at very high temperatures, producing hydrogen gas.

Iron is lustrous (meaning that it can take a shine), malleable (meaning that it can be shaped without breaking), and ductile (meaning that it can be hammered thin or drawn into wire). These are physical properties.

iron(Fe) is metal used in various forms,

it's physical properties varries with the addition of othe elements to itt & processing it in the furnace.

eg. brittleness can be controlled with the amount of carbon.

also heat treatment is very useful.

What are two examples of chemical properties and why are they chemical properties?

There are multiple chemical properties. The pH level measures the amount of hydronium ions present, as in gauging bases, neutrals and acids. Reactivity from the oxidation, that is the rusting of iron is another example of a chemical property.
