lcd coz in sunlight amoled is useless.......super amoled is best of two.

TFT (Thin Film Transistor) which is a type of display technology for LCD has better sunlight visibility than AMOLED. However, Super-AMOLED (which is lot better than AMOLED) comes to very close to LCD in terms of sunlight visibility.

TFT (Thin Film Transistor) is a type of LCD display and not related to touch screen technology in any way.

Resistive screens are an older design, in which two electrically conductive layers are separated by an insulating gap. When pressure is applied, the resistance between the layers changes at that point. While cheap and reasonably durable, they require styluses, don't support multi-touch and can reduce the quality of the displayed image.

Resistive screens were used in the original Palm Pilot and later Palm devices, in some portable games like the Nintendo DS, and in some current applications where their price outweighs their limitations.

Capacitive touchscreens use a newer technology that also relies on electrical conduction, but senses changes in capacitance rather than resistance. Since human skin conducts electricity, moving a finger near an electrostatic field will change the field, and the change can be measured and interpreted as a touch. Although they can be triggered by metallic objects, cloth, and other materials and are more expensive than resistive sensors, capacitive screens don't require syluses, support multi-touch, and can be perfectly clear.

Capacitive screens are used in most new smartphone and tablets, including the iPhone, iPad, the Droid Incredible, Blackberry Storm, etc. The iPod trackwheel is an example of this technology used without a display.

well TFT= Thin Film Transistor

basic differences...

Capacitive screens are faster and require electron transfer (heat/electricity conducted from your skin to the display of the device).

Resistive screens can be touched by any object,,, for example, you can use a straw to select items on a resistive screen...

AMOLED or Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diod is a screen that is organic and emits its own light. however, usually an electric current is still run through the screen to give the ultimate brightness....

short answer

Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen works better than LCD in the indoor. It doesn't require any backlight. It can show blacks more well and save cell phone's battery time because when the screen contains black contents, the pixels automatically shuts off to show real black color. It also show more details & more saturated pictures than LCD.

LCD screen works better in the outdoor. The user can see the screen more clearly in the sunlight, because it has built-in backlight in the back of the phone screen. When the screen is touched, the backlight turns on and makes the screen more bright, which shows the content more visible in the sunlight.

AMOLED screens still have a TFT layer, you want to know the differences between AMOLED and LCD screens

In a nutshell, LCD screens require a backlight, whereas AMOLED screens provide their own light (being built from LED's and all that)
