Drake Bell did not die in the car accident. Since that accident, he has made a second CD (It's Only Time), filmed more eipsodes of Drake & Josh (and at least four movies--two D&J, two other), put out a live DVD (concert in Mexico) and appeared on a number of morning talk shows both solo and with Josh Peck.

This is probably what started the rumor about his death. But, no, he has not been in any serious car accidents and he is definetly not dead. However, his CHARACTER, Josh Nichols, does run over " Oprah" in an episode of Drake and Josh. And his character does receive two tickets shortly after getting his license for running a stop sign and having a blown tail light. No word whether he got another ticket or not for attacking Drake in said episode. His co-star Drake Bell was in a head-on collision in 2005. He survived the crash, but he suffered from a fractured neck and broken jaw.
