no religion makes more sence than any other, they all have contradictions and stories based on hearsay, they all have seemingly imposible miricles which don't make sence in todays world.

but if a religion helps someone in times of trouble then that's good, without faith in something or someone we would be very sad

Atheism...none of the others make any sense in a modern..scientifically advanced...world. BTW, this is just my opinion

never thought of that one as a religion but they must still have some contridicions as atheist believe in something higher just not "god". agnostics would be another one but if you don't believe in anything then that's not religion. but i see where you are coming from

Answer:

Note to the above persons answer. I am a Christian. It is not hearsay if God talks directly to you or you see a Miracle in front of your own eyes. When this happens, you are an eyewitness, your perspective changes.
Depends. To Christians, Christianity; to Moslems, Islam; to Buddhists, Buddhism; etc. If you are not satisfied with your current religion, you best do some research on your own.

Realistic is not the word you're looking for mate. If you mean "grounded in reality," then God have mercy on your soul, as they pretty much stress faith as a paramount sentiment, which requires belief in the face of no realistic basis or evidence. Still, there's lots that generally do emphasize being nice to one's fellow man and not being determinedly self-absorbed, which can be a relief. ^_^

Spiritual matters are not proven by logic. Science is proven by logic. No connection. Science is anything that can be measured. Spirit is anything that can not be measured. The only way we can know anything about the spirit realm is if some spirit chooses to reveal it to us. All the revelations have been collected into a book. Anybody can read the book and decide for themselves whether to believe or disbelieve. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read every day. When you are comfortable with that, then read The Bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Keep reading until you start to notice it says some things that are different from what you have been told it says.

Answer 3:
(The following was written in response to the first answer.)
I strongly disagree with some of the implied premises in the first answer. First, it seems that its contributor has made the assumption that 'logic' has to do with whether you can make statements based on empirical findings. Second, it seems he/she assumes there are no empirical arguments for the existence of God.

In academic settings, logic is taken to mean the rules of consistency and coherence. Consistency means that a set of statements within one and the same theory does not negate each other. For example, the statements "I have a neighbor" and "I do not have a neighbor" cannot be true simultaneously if they address the same phenomena (i.e. 'I', 'have', and 'neighbor' are taken to mean the same things). Coherence means that the conclusion of an argument follows from a set of conditions. Here are some examples:

Argument 1:

Condition 1: If 2 + 2 = 4, it will be raining tomorrow.
Condition 2: 2 + 2 = 4.
Conclusion: It will be raining tomorrow.

If we accept the first two conditions, we are forced to accept the conclusion as well. We can, however, criticize the first sentence of the argument since it is built on the supposition there is a connection between a piece of math and the weather. Since this is not the case, the argument is not coherent.

Argument 2:

Condition 1: If it is raining, the ground becomes wet.
Condition 2: It is raining.
Conclusion: The ground becomes wet.

In the latter argument, there is no reason to criticize the first condition. This is because we can empirically test that there is a connection between rainy weather and wet grounds. For this reason, the argument is coherent.

Answering the original question means first defining 'religion'. What is it that separates one religion from another? Would you consider Christianity as a whole to be "a religion"? The problem with doing that, is that there'd be many disagreements in such a religion. To mention a few issues: "Is baptism a requirement for salvation?" "Do the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost share the same status in the Trinity?"

The point is that if you carry out a thorough study of Christianity, Buddhism, Islam etc. as wholes, you will soon find that these "religions" are to a great degree internally inconsistent. It would be pretty difficult to discover which religion is more logical than another.

Discovering a good answer to your question involves a whole lot of challenges, one being giving a proper definition of religion and another being to settle for the sources you will examine in answering the question. Then, if you agree with the definition of logic that I have presented here, there is a third reason I disagree with the original contributor: He/she seems to think the answer can be given in less than two lines -- I think a decent answer requires several millions of words.

Which group tried to talk the natives into becomin christians?

This is in fact quite common; most religions try to increase their numbers by converting other people to their own religion. This is quite logical: if a group believe their belief offers certain advantages to the believers, or perhaps to the world, then they will logically try to spread the religion. This is in fact quite common; most religions try to increase their numbers by converting other people to their own religion. What makes people turn to atheism?

Most people adopt the atheist position after a logical review of the data supplied by religion as to why religion is reasonable. This review suggests that the "proof" supplied by religions is in the form of fallacious arguments. No logical or demonstrable proof (in the scientifically acceptable sense) is provided by any religious authority.
