He didn't! :)
Although Faraday received little formal education and knew little of higher mathematics, such as calculus, he was one of the most influential scientists in history.

Faraday was a naturalist, meaning scientist in those days. But he taught himself everything. He was a secretary to an aging physicist and professor who had lost most of his sight. So Faraday would transcribe the professor's works. Then he started seeing patterns in the physics and derived physical geometries for electromagnetism from intuition.
Towards the end of his professor's life, he became quite famous for his discovers and used his boss's prestige to catapult him into the right circles, where people would recognize his genious without a degree; this is very difficult of course. But, education is in the mind, not the book.
Amazingly, Faraday was largely self-taught. He only attended school, where he studied basic subjects, until he was fourteen. He then apprenticed at a book-binder for seven years, during which time, he read innumerable books, many of which were related to science, a subject that fascinated him. He began attending public lectures, especially a series given by the noted chemist Humphry Davy, and he took thorough notes on these lectures. In fact, Faraday sent Davy his 300-pages of lecture notes, to show how interested he was in what Davy had to say. Davy ultimately hired Faraday as a lab assistant at the Royal Institute in 1813, and that is where Faraday began a distinguished career. He first helped Davy and other scientists with experiments that involved electromagnetic research, and by the mid 1820s, he was giving his own lectures about electricity.
No, apart from basic schooling, he was self-educated.
