Yes, but the warrant will still be active in the other state. If you are stopped by the police, they will arrest you and hold you until the first state decides whether or not to extradite you.
I say the answer is false
I would suggest doing it immediately. But it really depends on the state. Generally you first file a police report and then you have a year to press charges. Since you are pregnant, the police MAY do it for you, but you usually have to do it yourself.
Well...i know you can move out at age seventeen in the state of Georgia and the police cant do anything about it! :c)....

State Police
The first State Police in the US was the Pennsylvania State Police. Formed in 1905 by Governor Samuel Pennypacker to replace the Coal & Iron Police who were actually thugs hired by coal mine owners to control coal miners. Pennypacker wanted an independant law enforcement agency so no place in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was without proper fair police protection. The agency is still one of the finast in the US.
Philadelphia, PA created the first paid, daylight police force until it was repealed 3years after. Also, they were the prototype for modern state police organizations. However, the correct answer to your question is Chicago, IL. In 1884, Chicago established this country's first municipal Criminal Identification Bureau.
Police can work for a state, county, or city. At the federal level the FBI is a law enforcement agency. The State Police works in that specific state. Each State has their own State Police Divisions. Sheriff is County level. City Police is local.
I believe most cases that is going to depend on the jurisdiction that the agency is under. For example, here in AZ the Highway Patrol is a state agency and therefore funded by the state, where as the Phoenix Police Dept. is a city agency and is funded by the city.
Usually the State Police.
Hawaii has no State Police- Hawaii 50 only existed on TV.
