Double filamented bulbs - smaller filament is for brake lights - larger is for tailights Get a test light and connect one end to ground and the other to either wire and see which works tail or stop
I have a 1983 GMC Sierra it has no dash, tail lights an brake lights are very dim
The tail lights are on a separate wiring than the blinker/brake lights. Look for a blown fuse or a broken/loose wire.
Check the ground wire to the tail lights.
I own a ford f150 and my tail lights are not working, but my brake work. What could wire or what could be causing that.
The tail light/brake light bulb has two filaments. If one of the filaments is broken, you will get either only tail lights, or brake lights. If a new bulb doesn't work, then you have a broken wire or bad connection in your plug-in.
Check the ground wire.
bad connection at the bulb, short in the wire or a bare wire. hope it helps. duboff
Check the ground wire. You have a bad connection somewhere.
Look for a fuse labeled TAIL LIGHTS. There are 2 separate circuits, one for brake turn and flasher and the other is for tail lights.
how do i wire my brake lights on my Honda 1000
Check the fuse box, also make sure that wire which going along the hinge on the driver's side is not damaged.
I found it easier to use the wires to the tail lights on the tractor.
