He starred in major opera houses all over the world. There is no doubt he was John Charles Thomas. Joseph Toner was a performer on Broadway and is listed in some productions on the International Broadway Data Base (IBDB). He was on Broadway concurrently with John Charles Thomas, but in different shows. Without documentation, there is no evidence whatsoever that they were the same person.
