North and South Korea didn't agree in the same governing plan. South Korea tried to cooperate with North America but North America refused and they split. Now, North Korea plans to attack South Korea and make it into one government for themselves.

∙ 7y agoUS enemy during Korean War At first the US was fighting the Soviet Union but under the guise of communism in general. At one point the US pushed the North Koreans and Soviets all the way almost to China but the Chinese entered in with the Soviets and pushed them back to the 38th parallel (the division of noth and south Korea today) where it began.
Although the Soviet Union was supportive of the North Korean military offensive against South Korea No Russion military personnel were actually fighting with Chinese or North Korean units. During 1951 I never saw a Russian prisoner of war, only Chinese and North Korean military soldiers were captives. However, it was a general opinion that Russian pilots were flying against UN aircraft.

∙ 9y agoSouth Korea's closest ally is the United States, but it maintains a good working relationship with other Western States (Europe, Canada, and Australia), China, and Japan. (However, relations with China are difficult because of North Korea and relations with Japan are difficult because of the Japanese War Crimes perpetrated in Korea that Japan refuses to properly address.)
