The only actor to transition from the Robert Altman movie MASH (1970) to the CBS television series M*A*S*H (1972-83) was Gary Burghoff. The regular characters were all the same up through the end of Season 3. Cpl Max Klinger was the first new character who was neither in the book nor the movie.

I think the only person who was in both the original movie and in the TV series of "M*A*S*H" was Gary Burghoff, who played "Radar" O'Rielly.
