There's a lot of answers. A lot of bands from that era were inspired by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, but Motley Crue was heavily inspired by KISS (they toured together at one point), in particularly Tommy Lee. If I had to guess, AC/DC would be in there too, just because of the timing.
